How to create and join clubs on ShowMe

This article gives step-by-step guide on creating and joining Clubs on ShowMe.

Getting started

Visit ShowMe’s official website on https://showme.fan/ this is what the welcome page.

You can search for any club name and know the availability of the name, to search, you just need to type the name (e.g ShowMe) in the search bar as seen below and click “Claim”.

PS: Clubs Domain names are allowed to be between 9–20 letters long.

If the club is available, the club page willbe opened next and you can join if your address is already connected to the website.

Connecting Wallet

You can connect to ShowMe on different networks, they are a variety of networks that are accepted for creating and joining fan clubs.

The list of accepted networks so far are:

Ethereum
Binance smart chain
Moonriver
Harmony
Arbitrum
PlatON
Polygon
Avalanche
Moonbeam
Aurora
Optimism

This can be seen in this image below.

A user can choose the network on which he/she wants to create his fan club but the fans can only join the clubs by connecting on same the network on which the club was created.

If a club was created on Ethereum Network, anyone that wants to like a club post or join the club will have to connect a wallet on the Ethereum chain as well.

To get your wallet connected to ShowMe, they are a variety of extensions you can use in the near future but at the moment, Metamask is the only extension with which one can connect wallet.

Users will be able to use other wallets as updates keep rolling out on the ShowMe site, some of this wallets include:

Creating Club

To create a club after signing in, one has to provide some information like:

Club Logo
Cover Image
Club name
Club Domain (9–20 letters)
Club Introduction ( Max. of 200 characters)

NFT Membership Card

Members of a club could be free depending on the creators choice. The creator could also make the club accessible to only people that hold a certain token or NFT. That way members of the club can be filtered to a target audience.

Every member of a club is eligibible to an NFT membership card which is claimable after joining the club, this serves as an identity card with which members can identify their colleagues and fellow fans.
